My go-to resources and recent discoveries related to trampoline and gymnastics…
This page wouldn’t be complete without the British Gymnastics site:
We are the UK National Governing Body for the sport of Gymnastics, dedicated to developing gymnasts, coaches and clubs across a range of disciplines.
Go here for the latest news, resources and official update in the world of Gymnastics in Britain.
For a wide range of different places to go leotard shopping check out my Leotard Suppliers blog post where I tell you a little bit about several different suppliers in one handy place!
For a few trampoline specific resources and some news, I like Trampolining Online.
Information & facilities for UK Trampolining clubs
Although I’d say the site hasn’t been updated in a long while, there’re some awesome articles by Jack Kelly about trampolining, a shop, the old regional grades information and contact details for the Governing bodies across the UK, including the ones below:
Home Country Association affiliated to British Gymnastics and representing the Regions of North of England, North West, Yorkshire, East, East Midlands, West Midlands, London, South, South East, South West and the English Schools Gymnastics Association.
Welsh Gymnastics (WG)
The National Governing Body (NGB) for gymnastics in Wales and as such, is recognised by Sport Wales, the Commonwealth Games Council and British Gymnastics.
Scottish Gymnastics (SG) is the National Governing Body for Gymnastics in Scotland. It was established in 1890 and incorporated as a company limited by guarantee in 1997. SG is recognised by UK Sport, the Scottish Sports Association (SSA) and sportscotland. It is also an affiliated member of British Gymnastics (BG).
Gymnastics Ireland is the national governing body for the sport of gymnastics in Ireland. We are affiliated to both FIG & UEG in addition to the Olympic Council of Ireland (OCI) and are recognised as such by the Irish Sports Council (ISC).
Full to bursting with awesome resources this is a go to blog for anything! Including tumbling, trampoline, diving, acrobatics, circus, cheer, dance, martial arts, X sports … and more! With topics ranging from Biomechanics to Cirque, history to roller skating!
I’ve also recently discovered a blog by fellow British coach, Competitor and Tariff Judge extraordinaire Steve Sampson, who does a great Trampoline, Business and Politics blog with a bit more besides. I was very excited to discover Steve writes about trampoline, because finding UK Trampoline-specific blogs – or just Trampoline related blogs leaves one with pretty slim pickings! So Go Steve!
Hope those are useful! More resources will be added as I discover them.
